The House Could Make You Sick

The GOP controlled house of representatives, who say they want to keep "America safe", has passed a bill that will not help to keep you safe, or informed, but will help corporatations. Is that really a surprise?

"THE HOUSE of Representatives this month passed the National Uniformity for Foods Act, a measure that would kill or cancel significant parts of 200 food-safety laws in 50 states. This ill-advised bill, supported by millions of food-industry dollars, passed without a single hearing. Now it's in the hands of the Senate. If it passes there, among its many victims would be California's requirement that foods containing harmful chemicals display a warning for consumers."

Keeping us Safe, or Breaking the Law...

I don't know which topic to put this under. Apparently, the courts have decided that the GOP Bush administration's attempt to weaken the clean air act by allowing coal fired power plants to spew more pollutants, is illegal.

"Judge Judith Rogers, writing for the court, castigated the U.S. EPA for trying to redefine language in the Clean Air Act to selectively exclude many facilities from the requirement that they install new air-pollution controls when making significant upgrades." ("Humpty Dumpty Dance" The Daily Grist 20-Mar-2006)

This pollution includes sulfur and mercury. Sulfur, bad for breathing and converts to acid rain, and mercury, bad for young (and old) minds, and accumulates in you body.

So when the GOP Bush Administration tried to weaken these rules, was it trying to keep us safe, or just obey an existing (and good for all of us) law?

The Blood Spatter Will Stick to Anyone Who Has Lied And Supported The Lies of the Bush GOP Administration

"...but, a majority of Americans, both Republican and Democrats, understand that the illegal and treasonous invasion of Iraq that has killed tens of thousands of innocent people and used the US military to do so, causing the deaths and injuries of thousands of innocent Americans ... are war crimes and the use of such violence and the blood spatter caused by that violence, will stick to anyone who has lied and helped to support the lies of the Bush GOP administration ... spatter that will scatter and adhere to the Republican Party for years and years to come.

The Bush GOP crimes are out in the open. War for profit. Legislation that kills our planet for profit. The intentional dereliction of government duties towards the American people that include the illegal snooping into their personal lives and the constant use of "terrorism" as an excuse, while the US is more vulnerable to all tragedies today -- not just terrorism -- more than ever before 911 and the installment of the Bush GOP into the White House. Those failures have killed and displaced thousands of our own people, and they are still discovering the dead in New Orleans, months after the Katrina disaster. Election fraud for the purpose of holding on to power in order to keep committing crimes or for the continuation of covering up undiscovered crimes against the American people. Premeditated and planned. Bush keeps repeating how the Democrats will raise taxes ... who is going to have to pay for the highest debt ever in the history of this country ... a debt caused by this criminal Bush GOP regime ... those wealthy who have been given tax breaks? Another Bush GOP crime against the working people of this country.

War crimes, treason, illegal use of the US treasury and our military ... all of that blood and blood money have the signature of the Bush GOP administration and they are, forever and ever, tattooed into the minds of the survivors of those crimes ... such crimes will never be able to be joked away, washed off, cleaned up, covered up, buried, or just forgotten. The smart set of Americans, the majority ... know this already, whether they are Democrats or Republicans, or members of some other political party ... they know, a world can't survive or begin to heal until the crimes against humanity are solved and justice is served ... even then, the Bush GOP stigma will still survive.

The Bush GOP ... had a grand time; did the crime ... now, must do the time. The Bush GOP administration and their followers have brought dishonor and shame to the Republican party and to this country. The weak may inherit the earth, but it will be a contaminated one and a warring one, if they refuse to look at the evidence and continue to support a treasonous Bush GOP administration."

Keeping us Safe

Here's another interesting note on how this adminstration that says it's keeping us safe is not.
Excelon, the company who owns the Braidwood Generating Station in Ill, failed to report huge oil and radiation spills from 1996 to 2003. And the administration is promoting more nuclear power plants, despite not having solved safety and disposal problems. And without considering various other options that don't require radiation - like conservation and bio-fuels.

Another bad day for the planet brought to you by the (unelected) current administration.

National Insanity

The Rebublicans have done it again. They say they are for national defences, but what they do is enrich their friends and donars. That is why they just blocked a bill to add $ 1.25 billing to help with port security. The same port security the president wanted to turn over to UAE controlled company.

The bill would have provided the following, seemingly necessary, things:

"– $300 million to enable U.S. customs agents to inspect high-risk containers at all 140 overseas ports that ship directly to the United States. Current funding only allows U.S. customs agents to operate at 43 of these ports.

$400 million to place radiation monitors at all U.S. ports of entry. Currently, less than half of U.S. ports have radiation monitors.

$300 million to provide backup emergency communications equipment for the Gulf Coast."

Instead of this, they passed a $1.7 Billion bill for missle defense, that doesn't work, but will line the pockets of the administration friendly military industrial complex.

It's just insane!
