Underestimating the Words of Evil Men... Committing Atrocious Atrocities
"History teaches us that underestimating the words of evil, ambitious men is a terrible mistake..." (George Bush addressing the Heritage Foundation 01-Nov-2007)
" President Bush compared Congress' Democratic leaders Thursday to people who ignored the rise of Lenin and Hitler early in the last century, saying "the world paid a terrible price" then and risks similar consequences for inaction today." (Bush tells Dems war denial is dangerous, Jennifer Loven, AP 01-Nov-07)
I agree with George that this is true, but the danger is not from Congress ignoring his pleas for war, the danger is in Congress' inaction in addressing this administrations' atrocious atrocities. Torture, imprisonment without trial, extraordinary renditions, hired mercenaries, dropping of habeas corpus, lying US into war, illegal wiretapping breaking FISA laws, stacking US Attorneys, and breaking his oath of office.
Complete and utter failures in everything except for killing over 1,000,000 people, making refugees of 2 to 4 million, and driving the country into bankruptcy while lining the pockets of friends and big donors.
We should not underestimate this. We should take a stand. Impeach these men, and then try them for war crimes. And if they are judged guilty, let them face the verdict.
