"Basic Norms of International Law Were Violated"

Even the Swiss have acknowledged that the US leadership has violated International norms and laws by condoning and executing extraordinary renditions against people who have not been accused and have not been tried. Extraordinary in that people are not only kidnapped but tortured, and tortured so badly that they have to inflict the torture in countries where torture is apparently not illegal. In the US, the Constitution protects people against torture (cruel and unusual punishment).

Note that this protection is not limited to US citizens. And our Declaration of Independence supports this with it's "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that ALL men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights...". It further states "The history of the present King of Great Britain [George III] is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny ...".

Our King George is also acting tyrannical, and it is up to our Congress, and our Citizens to ensure that he is held to the standards of our Country and our Constitution.

For not protecting and defending our constitution, they should be impeached. For torturing and killing people, they should be tried and prosecuted.

Let the rule of law, and justice prevail.

"Switzerland on Wednesday followed Italy and Germany in raising the threat of criminal prosecution of CIA operatives involved in anti-terrorism operations in Europe.

The Swiss Cabinet authorized the start of criminal proceedings against those responsible for the abduction in Italy of an Egyptian Muslim preacher allegedly taken on CIA flights through Swiss airspace.

Switzerland, which has cooperated closely in U.S. investigations and attempts to shut down terrorists' funding networks, has generally avoided open disputes with the U.S. government. But the wording of the seven-member Cabinet's statement was sharp.

"In the view of the Federal Council, the use of Swiss airspace for an abduction cannot be tolerated," the statement said. "There is evidence that basic norms of international law were violated." - Yahoo News 02/15/2007
