DO NOT CONFIRM Alberto Gonzales

This is a call to all Senators not to confirm Albert Gonzales.

He is directly responsible for advising our president that torture is ok and that it is ok to go against the constitution (Article VI Clause 2) by advising him that the president could ignore international treaties (Geneva Conventions).

His advice has led to articles like these:

“The Gonzales Legacy. Soon to be brought to the AG’s office. U.S. Military Torture Alleged throughout Iraq. Cases were Conveniently Closed”

“Military files describe alleged detainee abuse across Iraq”

12 Generals say that he is unfit for the job, and they said:
"Today, it is clear that these operations have:
Fostered greater animosity toward the United States;
Undermined our intelligence-gathering efforts; and
Added to the risks facing our troops serving around the world. "

He has also allowed the US to fly detainees to foreign countries known for their torture. Detainees who have been denied constitutional rights for a fair and PUBLIC trial.

His advice to our President has been:
Unconstitutional
Undemocratic
Illegal and Immoral

Karl wants him because Karl thinks it will help with the Latino vote. Alberto will not make any Latino proud, nor any other American. And his appointment would be condemded by the rest of the world.

Please consider this carefully, and do not appoint and approve this man for AG.
